Gladys Jane Walker Benard

Mrs. Gladys Benard, age 73, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020, at Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bells, TN. Private Graveside Services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at Mt. Pleasant UMC Cemetery in Whiteville, TN with Bro. Tim Lonon officiating. Gladys was born on April 28, 1946 in Mississippi and worked as a homemaker. She is survived by her son, William “Bubba” Benard, Jr. (Lisa) of Jackson, TN; two daughters, Barbara Simpson (Sammy) of Bolivar, TN; Helen Webb of Henning, TN; eight grand-children, Ralph Simpson, Sammy Simpson, III, Josh Simpson, William L. Benard, Stormie Webb, Kimberly Smallwood, D.J. Firmin, Brooke Byrd and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Benard, Sr; one brother, Bud Walker; two sisters, Ruby Hopper and Kathy Kubica. In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
