Gertrude Dixon

Gertrude Dixon was born in Haywood County, Tennessee on August 17, 1934 to Gertrude and Bland Dixon. She departed this life on November 21, 2012 at Haywood Park Community Hospital. She confessed her life at an early age at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Brownsville, Tennessee. Later in life she joined Brownsville Community Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 1, 2012 in the Brownsville Community Baptist Church with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 1, 2012 in the Brownsville Community Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Richard (Tina) Dixon, Joyce (John) Jelks, Vernon (Flora) Jones, Vanessa (Aaron) Reed, Casey (Clyde) Watkins, Deborah (Calvin) Jones, Jimmy (Sharon) Dixon, 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and many loved friends. Gertrude was preceded in death by two children: Baby Girl Dixon and a son: Donald Dewayne Dixon, four sisters: Mattie Dixon, Ruby Dixon Manns, Doll Dixon Boyd, Dorothy Dixon Hubbard, three brothers: Pat Dixon, Richard Dixon and J.D. Dixon.
