Gerald Raymond Woods, Sr.

Gerald Raymond Woods, Sr., age 83, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN.   Funeral Services for Mr. Woods will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Banks officiating. Burial follow in the Stanton Cemetery.  Visitation for Mr. Woods will be held on Thursday Evening, December 12, 2019 from 5 PM – 7 PM at the Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Woods is survived by his wife of 51 years, Johnnie Woods of Stanton, TN, two sons, Jack Woods (Georgann) of Lenoir City, TN, Gerald Woods, Jr.  (Dana) of Stanton, TN, two daughters, Emily Lee of Germantown, TN, Cindy Scott (Pete) of Walls, MS.  He leaves the legacy of eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Raymond Woods and Elsie Swain Woods and one sister, Betty Wright. 

Gerald Woods was a lifelong farmer.  He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them.  He also loved SEC Football and especially enjoyed eating chocolate ice cream and popcorn.  He was a member of Stanton United Methodist Church.
