George Duncan

Mr. George Edward Duncan, age 62 passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 in the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Whiteville, TN. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Monday, January 2, 2012 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. Mr. George was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, President of the South Hatchie Volunteer Fire Department, Treasurer of J.B. Moore Community Center, a Vietnam Veteran and loved riding his Goldwing motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his parents: George Odell Duncan and Lorene Davis Duncan. He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Duncan, three daughters: Connie Hendrix (Johnny), Rebecca Bond (Edward), Misty Casteele (Paul), all of Brownsville, TN; two brothers: Jimmy Duncan, Collierville, TN & Earl Duncan, Somerville, TN; one sister: Martha Ann Duncan Henry, Somerville, TN and six grandchildren: Cassie Hendrix, Morgan Hendrix, David Hendrix, Parker Bond, Chandler Bond & Briana Casteele. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: South Hatchie Volunteer Fire Station, District #3, Nancy Hendrix, 1593 Eurekaton Road, Stanton, TN 38069.
