Fred William Whitehead

Fred William Whitehead, age 80, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.  A Memorial Service will be conducted on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home.  A visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Bells Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.

Mr. Fred was born in Gibson Wells, TN on February 7, 1944, to the late Allen Whitehead and Gladys Canaster Whitehead.  He was a member of the Gadsden Church of Christ.  Mr. Fred worked for many years in maintenance at the Bells Nursing Home.  Also preceding him in death was his wife of over 37 years:  Patricia Epperson Whitehead; one son:  Timothy William Whitehead; six brothers:  Jimmy, Bob, Charles, Thomas, Allen and Larry Whitehead; two sisters:  Annie Poole and Patsy Mitchell.

He is survived by two daughters:  Carla Obie (Calvin Jarrett) of Humboldt, TN and Rita Budinsky (Paul) of Jackson, TN; one sister:  Paulette Fultz (Richard) of Humboldt, TN; He leaves a legacy of four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
