Frank Terry Gilbert, Sr.

Mr. Frank Terry Gilbert, Sr., age 71 passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 in the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in the Stanton Cemetery, Stanton, TN, with Rev. William Reeves officiating. Mr. Frank was a retired firefighter in Memphis for many years. He loved fishing, hunting and his family. He was an avid teller of stories that were enjoyed by everyone. While never meeting a stranger, he was a friend to many. Frank will be deeply missed by us all. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bayliss Odell Gilbert and Opal Virginia Ross Gilbert and two brothers: John Gilbert and Joe Gilbert. He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Susan Gilbert, Oakland, TN, one son: Frank Terry Gilbert, Jr., (Lora), Olive Branch, MS, two daughters: Tanya Gilbert and Angela Gilbert, both of Oakland, TN, one brother: Thomas G. Gilbert, AL, one sister: Sara Gilbert, Burlison, TN, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
