Finis Kelley, If you were ever lucky enough to find yourself around Finis, you were guaranteed a laugh-even if you were a stranger. He had the gift of gab and could find a common thread with anyone. From pouring concrete, wood working, building furniture or fishing – he was a perfectionist. Every detail mattered. That detail-oriented mindset was carried out in every aspect of his life. He loved his family and fiercely protected and supported them. He gave generously to anyone in need, and not just monetarily – but also in words of wisdom, kindness, laughter, and love. If you needed him, you would find him at the Tennessee River, whether he was fishing, watching the barges go by or gathering with family and friends, he would warmly welcome you in. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clyde and Ozell Kelley; two brothers: Larry Kelley and Bradley Kelley. He is survived by his children: (Daughter) Karen Hutcherson and husband Mark, (Daughter) Tina Fesmire, (Daughter) Beth Lovelace and husband John, (Son) Clint Kelley, (Daughter) Julie Holt and husband Kris; Eight Grandchildren: Kayce Tutor, Adam Tutor and wife Casey, Mitchell Fesmire, Miles Fesmire, Carson Lovelace, Harper Holt, Presley Holt, and Jaxon Holt; Three Great- Grandchildren: Finn Tutor, Dax Tutor, and Ellie Lovelace. His Sisters: Brenda Clay and husband Ronnie, Debbie Harvey, and husband Ira. Close friends and chosen family: Joe Myers, Boone Pierce, and Loren Mays.
Finis always looked forward to happiness and joy daily. He wanted his family and friends to do the same. He wished there would be no services but instead wanted family and friends to celebrate life with the ones they love and to think of him fondly anytime you are on his beloved Tennessee River.
