Enid W.'s Obituary Enid W. Powell, age 96, of Hillville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014, at her residence. She was a devoted wife and mother with a wholehearted gift of hospitality. She was a member of Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church, where she served as church organist for over 50 years. She also served for 18 years as office manager for the Hatchie National Wildlife Refuge. She will be best remembered as a faithful servant of her Lord. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, May 2, 2014, at Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes in Brownsville, Tennessee. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church officiated by Bro. Jerry Wilson and Bro. Grover Westover. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Survivors include two sons, Wilson Powell (Dorrie) and Thomas L. Powell both of Haywood County; three daughters, Peggy Norville of Jackson, TN, Mary Dalglish of Haywood County and Alice McClanahan (Edward) of Somerville, TN; a sister, Esther White of Illinois; seven grandchildren, Marcia Watson (Danny), Katherine Finan (Chris), Rebecca Hepler (Randy), Patricia Wagner (L.J.), Jerry Dalglish, Jennifer Atkinson (Wade Thomas) and Daniel Powell (Alexis); and seven great grandchilren, Mari, Hunter, Gavin, Chase, Riley, Leyla and Isabella; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Olive Purdue Wilson; and her husband, Thomas Powell. Pallbearers will be Wilson M. Powell, Thomas L. Powell, Edward McClanahan, Daniel Powell, Jerry Dalglish, Chris Finan, Danny Watson, and Beau Warren. Honorary pallbearers will be W. Roots Miller, L.J. Wagner, Randy Hepler, and Wade Thomas.
