Emilie Ellen Dickinson, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Sugar Creek Senior Living Center in Brownsville, TN. Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the Woodland Cemetery with Bro. Randy Kellough officiating. Interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery.
Emilie was born on September 10, 1937, in Memphis, TN, to Cecil and Pauline Dickinson. She worked as a Customer Service Representative in the Insurance industry. She was a faithful member of Woodland Baptist Church in Brownsville, TN. She served as a poll worker for the Haywood Election Commission. She took great pride in serving on the Chainsaw Crew with Disaster Relief. She was faithful with the Operation Christmas Child Organization and looked forward each year to preparing the shoeboxes for the children. She was put on this earth to serve the Lord and serve others, and she was so blessed that she got to fulfill that responsibility.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Clair Dickinson and Pauline Douglass Dickinson, as well as one brother, Cecil C. Dickinson, Jr. She is survived by her nephews, Clint Dickinson (Donna) of Brownsville, TN, Chris Dickinson (Kim) of Hendersonville, TN and Jason Dickinson of Louisiana; great nieces and nephews, Paula Eubanks (Chris), Frank Dickinson (Debbie), Zack Dickinson, Ellen Dickinson, and Canaan Dickinson; great-great nieces and nephews, Conner McCollum, Emma Dickinson, Carter Eubanks, and Ellee Eubanks.
Pallbearers for the service are Bert Porch, Butch Porch, Bob Bond, Barry Sceals, Greg Sills, and Paul Bond. Honorary pallbearers are Ed Ellington, Ray Ellington, Wilmot Bond, Larry Stanley, Don Vales and Sammy Tinsley.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to the Woodland Baptist Church or the Disaster Relief Fund at Woodland Baptist Church, 885 Woodland Church Road, Brownsville, TN 38012. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
