Edward's Obituary
Mr. Edward Lee Vanstory, age 71, lost his 10 year fight with Alzheimers at 2:00 A.M. on Monday, August 24, 2009. Mr. Vanstory, a native of Haywood County, was a retired truck driver who loved to play golf, listen to country music, and spend time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward and Monnie Vanstory and Opal Lee Campbell Vanstory. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 26, 2009, in the Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. H.K. Sorrell and Rev. Bob Connerly officiating. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his loyal and devoted wife of 54 years: "Bootsey" Vanstory, Brownsville, TN; two sons: Greg Vanstory (Sherry), and Steve Vanstory (Kathy) all of Brownsville, TN; one daughter: Lisa Vanstory Paris (Ray), Brownsville, TN; brother: Ronnie Vanstory (Sue), Brownsville,TN; four half brothers: Dale Tippett, Danny Tippett, William Tippett and Carl Wayne Tippett; two half sisters: Pam Burchette and Donna Smith; nine grandchildren: Misty Lynn Vanstory, Justin Lee Vanstory, Haley Vanstory, Tammie Vanstory, Scott Vanstory, Michael Vanstory, Ashley Paris, Ray Paris III, and Steven Paris; two great-grandchildren: Bryce Vanstory and Berkleigh Vanstory Emmerson; and one niece: Beth Vanstory Moore (Andy). Mr. Vanstory leaves behind loving memories of his caring and compassionate disposition toward others. Through his long battle he taught us how important love, laughter, and family are in this life. He is one of the longest survivors of Alzheimers and now he is in a place where memories have no boundaries. Memorials may be made to Brownsville Baptist Church Women's Ministry, P.O.
