Edna Mae McCarver Foster, age 89, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Brownville Memorial Gardens in Brownsville, TN, with Bro. John Hayes officiating. 

Edna Mae Foster was born in Haywood County on January 15, 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bomber Foster; her son, John Alan Foster, her parents, Wayne Franklin McCarver and Rachel Annie Staggs McCarver.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Featherstone (Jerry); her two granddaughters, Jackie Cobb (Errick) and Ashley Silas (Taylor); four great-grandchildren, Codie Cobb, Damian Johnson, Easton Silas, and Riley Silas; one great-great-grandchild, Evelyn Armes Johnson. She also leaves behind several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins; three very special nieces, Shebie, Cheryl, and Patricia, and three very special friends, Kay, Billie, and Nita. 

She was a faithful member of Shaws Chapel Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved the times they spent together. She retired from Wells Lamont and James Moore’s as a sewing machine operator. 

 Honorary Pallbearers are Errick Cobb, Taylor Silas, Codie Cobb, and Damian Johnson.  All services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
