Dorothy Ann Mealer

Dorothy Ann Mealer, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.  Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Mosier officiating.  Burial to follow in the Robertson Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at the Bells Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.

Mrs. Dorothy was born in Alamo, TN on August 12, 1947, to the late Katie Shepard.  She loved attending BINGO every week in Alamo and spending time with her beloved family.  She will be greatly missed.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of over 36 years:  Clifton Dale Mealer; one son:  Randy Mealer; one daughter:  Melissa Ann Sanders; one brother:  Sammy Jones; one sister:  Mary Johnson.

She is survived by three sons: Darrell Jake Mealer of Madison Co., TN, Steven Mealer (Haley Lipford), Clifton Mealer, Jr. (Christy); two daughters:  Laura Angel (Alfredo), Peggy Lee; one brother:  Richard Shepard; two sisters:  Betty Nichols and Pearl Mosier; She leaves a legacy of eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and her sweet dog, Coco.
