Dorothy Louise Matthews' Obituary
Dorothy Louise Matthews Privett, age 93, of Bells, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bells, Tennessee. Mrs. Privett was a retired bookkeeper, and a member of the First Baptist Church where she served as a choir member, Sunday School Teacher, and faithful volunteer. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, October 27, 2014, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Bells, TN. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Bells, TN, officiated by the Revs. Walter Taylor and Dennis Davis with internment to follow in Belleview Cemetery in Bells, TN. Survivors include two sons, Bill Privett and Ron (Terri Rapacki) Privett both of Memphis; three daughters, Donna A. (Mitchell) Ammons of Fairfield Glade, TN, Patricia L. (Curtis) Reichhold of Jackson, TN, and Nelle Privett Ruby of Hendersonville, TN; one brother, Clarence Matthews of Memphis; two sisters, Betty Jo Goldman Castellaw of Memphis and Marceline (Solon) Jacocks of Leesburg, FL; thirteen grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Polk and Nola Herndon Matthews; her husband, Ernest O'Neal Privett; two brothers, Charles and Don Matthews; and three sisters, Frances Hopper, Margaret Burleigh, and Evelyn Rutland. Pallbearers will be sons and grandchildren. The family has requested memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church in Bells, TN.
