Dorothy's Obituary Mrs. Dorothy L. Ables, age 74, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 in her home. She was born October 28, 1942 in Haywood County, Tennessee to the late Robert Houston Daniel and the late Mable Virginia Hutcherson. Mrs. Ables was a talented seamstress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Massey and Lucy Tinkle. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Ray Ables; two sons, Anthony Ables (Kitty) and Wade Ables, both of Ripley; a brother, Danny Daniel of Ripley; and two sisters, Patricia Buckner and Clara Oswald, both of Ripley. Serving as pallbearers are Carlton Ennis, Clay Weaver, Logan Buckner, Lanny Moore, Brad White and Chris Flowers. Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Ables will be conducted Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Smart officiating.
