Devoni Huffman

Devoni Marie Hammons Huffman, age, 55, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the Haywood County Community Hospital in Brownsville, TN.  Devoni was a resident of Lena, MS.  

Devoni was born on October 7, 1968, in Burbank, CA, to Don Hammons and Sherri Gotti Sealand. She had retired as a heavy equipment operator.  She enjoyed cooking and gardening.  She was an avid fan of the Ole Miss Rebels Football team.  Music and singing were an important part of her life. She used music to lift her spirits and bring her fulfillment.  True joy in her life came from spending time with family. She deeply cherished her children and grandchildren, considering them her proudest accomplishments in life. 

She is survived by her husband, Kris Huffman of Lena, MS; her father, Don Hammons (Sharon) of Nesbit, MS; her mother, Sherri Sealand (Warren) of Memphis, TN; one son, Joshua Sharp (Malanda) of Myrtle, MS; one daughter, Hannah Barnes (Dylan) of Ripley, MS; one brother, Jon Hammons of Phoenix, AZ; and one sister, Jessica Leake.  She was blessed with two grandchildren, Avery Sharp and Luke Barnes.   

 A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on March 2, 2024 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM at the Flat Rock Baptist Church, 3753 Miss. Hwy, 2, Hickory Flatt, MS 38633. (Casual Attire) The family has honored her wishes for cremation.  All arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
