David Tipton

David Evans Tipton, Jr. age 61, passed away at his residence in Cordova, TN on August 12, 2011. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 15, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church in Brownsville, TN. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. A visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church. Mr. Tipton achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and was a 1968 graduate of Haywood High School. He attended Mississippi State University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Mr. Tipton was preceded in death by his father, David Evans "Deedum" Tipton, Sr. He is survived by his two daughters: Kathryn Suzanne Tipton, Nashville, TN, Elizabeth Regen Tipton, Johnson City, TN; the mother of his children: Nancy Helen Laughlin, Rogersville, TN and a special friend: Helene Kramer, Arlington, TN; his mother: Suzanne Tipton, Brownsville, TN, two sisters: Flo Bryan (Frank) Jackson, MS, and Sue Harvey (Hugh) Jackson, TN, a brother: Tommy Tipton (Paula) Brownsville, TN; five nieces: Marie Bryan Hill (Reed), Sue Bryan Geter (Joey), Sarah Bright Tipton Faulker (Chris), Dorothy Tipton Harvey & Suzanne Harris Harvey, one nephew; Tom Tipton and two great nephews: Louis Baddour Hill & Bryan Geter.
