David's Obituary Mr. David Joseph Simpson age 82 of Brownsville, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Simpson was born on June 29, 1935 in Haywood County to the late David Simpson and Nancy Davis Simpson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Dale Fisher Simpson; one daughter Betty Jean Simpson; two brothers Matthew Eli Simpson and James Alven Simpson and five sisters, Nancy Jean Jackson, Elizabeth Alexander, Jenny Sue Williams, Ruby Palmer and Patsy Jean Simpson. Survivors include four sons, David L. Simpson, Billy Ray Simpson, Joseph Simpson and Donald Ray Simpson all of Brownsville; 3 sisters, Mary Ann Plunk of Sardis, Shirley Dawson of Troy and Annie Mae Creasy of Smyrna; one brother, Samuel Simpson and wife Evelyn of Bolivar. Other survivors include six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Graveside services for Mr. Simpson were conducted Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Brownsville with Bro. Mike Hopper, officiating. The Simpson Family received friends on Thursday at the chapel of Brownsville Funeral Home from 12:00 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. Brownsville Funeral Home, 107 S.
