David Carl Herbison

David's Obituary Mr. David Carl Herbison, age 71 of Stanton, TN passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born on October 21, 1944 in Stanton, TN to the late William Norris Herbison and Lora Waddell Herbison. Mr. Herbison was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, performing as a gunner mate for the United States Navy. He was a retired trucker driver and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a member of the Brownsville Moose Lodge. Survivors included his wife: Rita Pebworth Herbison of Stanton, TN; a step-son: Michael McLean and wife Paula of Covington, TN; three daughters: Amy Elrod and husband Pete of Brownsville, TN, Leigh Ann Herbison, of TX, Jennifer Downs, of Lakeland, TN; two brothers: Herbert Herbison of CA, Barry Herbison of South Haven, MS and one sister, Marie Ball. Mr. Herbison leaves a legacy of nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, his cousin: Dane Norwood and Almond, his beloved dog of two years. A Memorial Gathering for the Herbison family will be conducted on Monday, December 14, 2015, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. in the Hospitality Room of Brownsville Funeral Home. Read More Read Less
