David's Obituary Mr. David Dewayne Day age 57 of Brownsville, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at his residence. He was born October 6, 1959 in Haywood County to Hazel Maness Day and the late Chambers Hughes Day. David worked for many years at MTD in Brownsville and since 2010 employed at DAR Roofing. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Hughes Day. Survivors include his son, BJ Day and wife Crystal of Brownsville; mother, Hazel Maness Day of Brownsville; sister, Judy Cooke and husband Donald of Brownsville; brother, Stevie Lynn Day of Brownsville. Other survivors include two grandchildren, Carleigh Day and Hughes Day. Serving as pallbearers are Harvey Waldon, Craig Robinson, Todd Chilcutt, Billy Young, Pete Elrod, Phillip Sweat. Funeral services for Mr. David Day will be conducted Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Day family will receive friends on Tuesday at the Brownsville Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
