Dan W.'s Obituary Mr. Dan W. Cobb age 49 of Newbern, formerly of Bells, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 7, 1968 in Jackson to Danny Wayne Cobb, Sr. and Marsha Horne Castillo. Mr. Cobb was truly passionate working in the cattle business. He put his heart and soul into doing what he loved. Proudly, Mr. Cobb was a 1987 graduate of Crockett County High School. He was a senior Captain of the 1986 Cavalier Football team. That squad was the first to have a winning season since the program was started. He later attended the University of Tennessee at Martin on a football scholarship. Mr. Cobb was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Helen Cobb, F. N. and Mary Horne as well as two uncles, Billy and Roger Cobb. Survivors include his son, Chandler Sisson of Memphis; mother and step-father, Marsha Castillo and Joe of Florida; father and step-mother, Danny Cobb, Sr. and Judy of Newbern; two sisters, Lisa Patterson and husband Phillip of Florida and Carin Nash of Newbern; step-sister, Tracey Reed of Dyersburg. Other survivors include two nieces and a nephew, Abby, McKinley and Storm. Serving as pallbearers are Mike Cobb, Owen Cobb, Ray Climer, Jack Burgess, Taylor Cobb, Hunter Howell, Tim Gipson and Scott Cobb. Funeral services for Mr. Cobb will be conducted Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Bells First Baptist Church with Bro. Phillip Senn and David Via officiating. Burial will follow in Belleview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the Church from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
