Curtiss Lee Puckett

Curtiss Lee Puckett, age 85, passed away in Jackson, TN, on July 13, 2023, after a short illness.  He was a twenty-year veteran of the United States Air Force, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam.  After retirement, he returned to Brownsville where he started his own business and serviced many in Haywood and surrounding counties as a diesel mechanic. 

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Emily Charlotte Puckett of Brownsville, TN; one son, Curtiss Puckett, Jr. (Diana) of Cibolo, TX; one brother, George Puckett, Jr. of Blytheville, AR; two sisters, Marie Ross and Peggy Estes, both of Jackson, TN, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George C. Puckett and Francis West Thompson; one sister, Jeanette Davis and one half-sister, Louise Drake.

Memorials may be sent in his honor to Spay Haywood, P.O. Box 1092, Brownsville, TN 38012.  The family chose to honor his wishes of cremation, and there are no scheduled visitation or services.  All arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
