Cody's Obituary Mr. Cody Thomas Williams, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at his residence. He was born on September 7, 1941 in Dyer County, TN, to the late Edgar Ellis Williams and Leria Marie Pendergrass Williams. Mr. Williams, a retired disabled veteran of the United States Army, was a member of the Brownsville Baptist Church and also attended Harmony Baptist Church. He was “Mr. Fix It” and used his talents during many Mission Trips for his church and at the Haywood County Board of Education. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Johnson Williams and one sister, Shirley Williams. Survivors are his three sons: James Williams of Clarksville, TN, Jerry Williams and wife Kim of TN and Kenny Williams of KY; Two daughters: Sharon Manazares of TN and Cynthia Morris of KY; and one sister: Judy Legions and husband Steve of Brownsville; He leaves a legacy of ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of friends and family. Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be conducted Saturday, November 21, 2015, at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of Harmony Baptist Church with the pastor, Bro. Grover Westover officiating. Brownsville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow with full Military Honors in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The Williams family will receive friends at Harmony Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until the service hour at 2:00 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be the Tennessee Honor Guard; Honorary pallbearers will be the Brownsville Baptist Church Men’s Sunday School Class. Read More Read Less
