Clint's Obituary Clint O. Williams, Jr., age 77, of Fruitvale, TN, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 5, 2018. He was born May 26, 1940, in Bells, TN, to the late Owen Williams and Janette Edwards Williams. Mr. Williams started his banking career in 1964 in Memphis, TN, and moved to Merchants State Bank in 1978 where he served as President and CEO and retired in 2005. Mr. Williams was a member of The Church of Sugar Creek in Humboldt, TN. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his brother Johnny Otis Williams and his sister Betty Carol Lankford. Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Carolyn Williams of Fruitvale, TN; son, Clint Williams, III and wife, Phara, of Bells, TN; daughters, Candace Williams, Mary Jon Williams, Macy Pierce, Tara Privette and husband, Bobby, of Fruitvale, TN; grandchildren, Lauren Rice and husband, LB, and Travis Privette; great-grandson, Tobias; and sister, Sue Crockett of Gibson, TN. Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be conducted Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of the Church at Sugar Creek, a ministry of First Baptist of Humboldt with Dr. Greg McFadden officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Gadsden. The family will receive friends at the Church on Sunday from 2:00 pm. until the service hour.
