Obituary for Claristine Coburn Stanley Claristine Coburn Stanley, age 90, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, in the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 28, 2022, at the Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Rachel officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 28, 2022, from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. at the Brownsville Funeral Home. Her name was Claristine, Teen, or Ma Stanley; names given by those who love her. Mothering was her number one gift. She used her gift by caring for many children throughout the years. The degree of love she had, shows in each of them; for they carry on the love they learned from her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jere Cooper Stanley, her parents, Roy Edward and Clara B. Crutchfield Coburn, one son, Luther Edward “Luke” Stanley and one sister, Elvie Prince. She is survived by her children, Joey Wayne Drake (Amanda), Jackson, TN, Terry Drake, Medina, TN, Tracy McCall, Phoenix, AZ, Jerry Wayne Drake, Brownsville, TN, Tammy Long, Ripley, TN and Brandy Drake, Toone, TN, one sister, Gail Hooper, Brownsville, TN and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers for the service are William Crutchfield, Jeff Landreth, Harold Hendrix, Sr., Harold Hendrix, Jr., Wayne Drake and Ricky Joyner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Littlejohn. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Shaw’s Chapel Baptist Church, 3772 Shaw’s Chapel Rd., Brownsville, TN 38012. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
