Chuck Overton

Mr. Chuck Overton, age 64 passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, April 20, 2015 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. Mr. Chuck was the purchasing manager for 28 years with the Charm's Candy Company, past master & treasurer of the Ed Worsham Masonic Lodge, a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church, avid shooter & outdoorsman. He was the owner of Hatchie Shooter's Supply and loved growing sunflowers on the family farm. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles Horace Overton, Jr. and Clarice Marbury Overton. He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Ann Lowery Overton, Brownsville, TN, one son: Charlie Overton (Melanie), Nashville, TN, one sister: Marcia Overton, Memphis, TN, one granddaughter: Anna Michele Overton and his mother-in-law: Velma Lowery Billings, Covington, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Union Grove UMC Building Fund, c/o Carrie McCage, 243 Cottondale, Brownsville, TN 38012.
