Christine's Obituary Mrs. Christine Watson Evans age 84 of Brownsville, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016, in Crestview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 10, 1932 in Haywood County to the late Johnny Watson and Lizzie Elrod Watson. She was a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Evans; one son, Dennis Evans; two brothers, Bill Watson and Clifton Watson; an infant sister as well as a grandson, Keith Evans. Survivors include a son, Larry Evans and wife Joy of Hohenwald; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Evans of Brownsville; two brothers, Wayne Watson and James Watson both of Stanton. Other survivors include three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers are Bradley Evans, Joe Ellis, Johnny Wayne Watson, Jr., Jerry Evans, Kenny Evans and Chris Evans. Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Watson Evans will be conducted Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. John Banks officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Evans family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. unitl 7 p.m. The family requests any memorials be directed to Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund in memory of Mrs. Evans.
