Mrs. Cheryl Davis Moses, age 62, passed away at her residence January 30, 2010, in Brownsville, Tennessee. A service in celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 P.M., Thursday, February 4, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Harrell Nation and Rev. Sammy Tillman officiating. The family will have a private committal service at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. Mrs. Moses was retired from the Haywood County School system, a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Honorary Teacher's Sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority, Retired Teachers Association, the Emmaus Community, Brownsville First United Methodist Church and past president of the Brownsville/Haywood County Arts Council. Mrs. Moses was preceded in death by her parents, Richard E. and Betty S. Davis of Memphis and her first husband George Bond Clinton. Mrs. Moses is survived by her husband, Bob Moses, Brownsville, TN; her brother, Steve Davis (Kathy), Arlington, TN; three daughters; Tracey Lea (Chris), Allison Ferrell (Troy), both of Brownsville, TN, and Melanie Quinton (Nick), Tallahassee, FL; four grandchildren; Blake Call, Taylor Call, Emma Kate Lea and Joseph Lea, all of Brownsville. The family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 117 East Franklin St., Brownsville, TN 38012.
