Charles Larry Spiller

Mr. Charles Larry Spiller, age 76 passed away at his home in Memphis, TN on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Trinity Cemetery in Nutbush, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 9:00 – 10:00 A.M. in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. Larry was a talented artist and musician. While in Haywood County, he taught at Sunnyhill Middle School, Brownsville, TN, after moving to Memphis, he became a librarian for Memphis City School Systems. He was a former organist at Trinity Methodist Church, Nutbush, TN, and was currently a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Memphis, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents: William Roy Spiller and Katy Beth Uselton Spiller. He is survived by his cousins: Larry & Gail Spiller, Eads, TN, their children: Dr. Vince & Anna Hicks, Franklin, TN, Larry James & Melanie Spiller, Jr., Eads, TN, Adam & Claire Sowell, Hernando, MS and Rose Turner, and her son-in-law and daughter: Dale & Elaine Knight, all of Oro Valley, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trinity Cemetery Association, 74 Tibbs-Forked Deer Rd., Brownsville, TN 38012.
