Charles Portis Morrison

Mr. Charles Portis Morrison, age 96, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at his home in Brownsville, Tennessee. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, January 26, 2017 in the First Presbyterian Church at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in Munford Cemetery in Covington, Tennessee. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM in the First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Morrison was preceded in death by his parents: Robert Marvin and Eunice Portis Morrison, a son: Tommy McCool, two brothers: John Elliott Morrison, Robert Marvin Morrison, Jr. and a grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Lois McCool Morrison, two sons: Joe McCool, Jr., (Elaine), Leslie McCool, (Paula), two daughters: Catherine M. Butler, (Ted), Madeleine Timbes (Tommy), a sister: Eleanor “Bess” Hooper (David) all of Brownsville, Tennessee, thirteen grandchildren and twenty three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to First Presbyterian Church, 109 West College St., Brownsville, Tennessee 38012.
