Carolyn's Obituary
Mrs. Edna Carolyn Cheatham age 83 of Bells, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at her residence.
She was born January 16, 1934 in Crockett County to the late James Charlie Ellington and Tressie Mae Holt Ellington. Mrs. Cheatham was a homemaker and member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Elgin Cheatham; brother, James “Bud” Cheatham; two sisters, Rebecca Cole and Janice Ellington; granddaughter, Gianna Figuerido.
Survivors include two daughters, Paulette Williams and Sherri Gideon and husband Stan, all of Bells; son, Charles Cheatham and wife Kim of Bells; sisters, Mary Cole of Gadsden and Nellie Crutchfield of Bells. Other survivors include seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Nick Brauer, Nathan Gideon, Wes Porch, Andrew Henson, Larry Sipes, James Runions, Mark Gideon and Mason Brauer.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cheatham was conducted Monday, December 11, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Walnut Hill Baptist Church with the Pastor, Bro. Justin Moreland officiating. Burial followed in the Walnut Hill Church Cemetery. The Cheatham family received friends on Sunday at Walnut Hill Baptist Church from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
