Calvin Hinsley

Calvin Hinsley, age 63, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be conducted on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 12 Noon at his home on 2102 Shepp Road in Stanton, TN. Mr. Hinsley enjoyed hunting and trapping, working in his yard, riding 4-wheelers and maintaining Hinsley Cemetery. He will long be remembered for his love of cooking fish for his family and friends. He always worked hard at any project he would undertake. He was employed by Green Point Agriculture as a tender driver. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Johnson Hinsley of Stanton, TN; a son, Chad Johnson of Brownsville, TN; two daughters, Jennifer Johnson of Florida, Tiffany Byrd of Brownsville, TN; two brothers, Hardin and Kevin Hinsley, both of Stanton, TN; two sisters, Charlene Mashburn of Covington, TN and Colleen Archer of Gates, TN. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elaine Knapp Hinsley; a brother, Tommy White and a sister, Kathleen Chapman. All arrangements are under the direction of Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
