Our beloved Sweet Pea passed on April 28, 2024, from a short battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin E. George, Sr.; his mother, Mary Ellen Combs; his sister, Joyce Ann Adams (Phil Adams), and a brother, Howard Combs. He is survived by his his niece, Kristie Warren (Beau Warren) of Whiteville, TN; his nephews, Kevin Smith (Alicia Smith) of Stanton, TN and Shannon Combs of Brownsville, TN, as well as several other uncles, aunts, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Calvin has had several jobs in his lifetime. He was in the military for a short time. He worked as a DJ for Froggy 94 for many years, and he would DJ many karaoke bars in the area. He was a truck driver and a cook, where he cooked at a local truck stop and at the Brownsville Moose Lodge. He loved to meet with his friends at the local Burger King in the mornings, and he had a passion for fishing. He would spend his free time with a fishing pole in hand, and thus, his friends even nicknamed him Mr. Crappie. He loved life, he loved being a cook and he loved people. He will be missed by his many family members and his friends.
