Brenda's Obituary Mrs. Brenda Ann Blackburn Skipper age 69 of Chattanooga, TN passed away on September 28, 2016. She was born in Brownsville, TN on April 3, 1947 to Warren D. Blackburn and wife, Zuline C. Blackburn and was of the Methodist faith. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Warren D. Blackburn and her grandparents, Clyde and Ada Blackburn, Robert and May Castellaw and a special friend Mr. Bill. She was a graduate of Memphis State University. After she and her husband got into the Antique business in the ‘90s she became a Certified Appraiser of antiques and personal property. She loved traveling, antiquing, auctions, reading, late night TV and crossword puzzles. Brenda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Norman F. “Skip” Skipper; two sons Adam F. Skipper (Lee) of Chattanooga, TN, and Matthew M. Skail (né Skipper) (Shelley); a granddaughter Morrigan Nancy Skail of Edinburgh, Scotland; her mother Zuline C. Blackburn; a brother David Blackburn (Carolyn); and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Brothers and Sisters-in-law and many friends, as she never seemed to meet a stranger. Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Skipper will be conducted at First United Methodist Church in Bells, TN on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Belleview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Bells Funeral Home from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. There will be a celebration of life service held in Chattanooga, TN in October and announced by Bells Funeral Home with the time and location published in the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
