Brenda's Obituary Mrs. Brenda Blurton Blackburn, age 72, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at the Humboldt Medical Center. Mrs. Blackburn was a loving wife for over 55 years, a cherished grandmother, great-grandmother and an avid gardener. She was also a member of the Center United Methodist Church. Mrs. Blackburn was preceded in death by her parents: James Kenneth Blurton and Lillian Beatrice Hicks Blurton. She was survived by her husband, Mr. William Robert Blackburn of Gadsden, TN; two daughters: Lisa Lynn Blackburn of Gadsden, TN and Tina Rene (Mike) Scott of Trenton, TN; 3 grandchildren: Mandy Rene (Kris) Westerman and Brandy Rene (Daniel) Laman, both of San Angelo, TX, and Nicholas Tyler (Kristin) Scott of Jackson, TN; as well as 4 great-grandchildren: Kole Westerman, Grayson Laman, Aly Ann and Gracie Ann Scott. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM, at the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes, Bells Chapel, with Bro. Tyler Scott officiating. Burial will follow at the Center United Methodist Church Cemetery located in Gadsden, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and again on Friday from 1:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home. Read More Read Less
