Bonnie's Obituary Mrs. Bonnie Jean Elrod age 78 of Hillville, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at her residence. She was born April 23, 1940 in Haywood County to the late William Herbert Haase and Martha Elizabeth Montague Haase. Mrs. Elrod was a homemaker and member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Elrod and a brother, Merle Haase. Survivors include a son, Michael Elrod and wife Melinda of Hillville; daughter, Connie Perry and husband John of Hillville; brother, Robert Haase of Whiteville; three sisters, Opal Messer of Nashville, Margaret Warrenn of Smyrna and Frances Bangs of Bolivar. Other survivors include six grandchildren, Amber Renee Perry, Jessica Mullins and husband Chris, Lauren Perry, Dayton Elrod, Lena Smith and Brooks Smith as well as six great grandchildren, Zach Perry, Alyssa Perry, Terri Myrick, Mya Mullins Braelyn Smith and Austin Smith and one great-great grandchild, Jaquan Wellington. Serving as pallbearers are Chris Mullins, Zach Perry, Dayton Elrod, Donald Haase, Paul Dodson and Jimmy Gray. Funeral services for Mrs. Elrod will be conducted Monday, June 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Bro. David Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery. The Elrod family will receive friends on Monday at Mt. Pleasant from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour. Brownsville Funeral Home, 107 S.
