Billy's Obituary
Mr. Billy Wayne Pittman age 67 of Whiteville, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at his residence.
He was born on September 27, 1950 in Fayette County to the late Edward Nevel Phillips and Revie Pittman Watson. Mr. Pittman was a retired foreman for Standard Construction.
Survivor include his wife of fourty-six years, Linda Pittman; two sons, Barry Wayne Pittman and wife Pam and Phillip Ray Pittman and wife Brooke; one daughter, Loretta Johnson and husband Bill; three brothers, James Earl Pittman and wife Nita, Thomas Pittman and wife Gloria and Joseph Perry Watson, Jr and wife Susie; five sisters Elisha Edmonds and husband Ronnie, Jo Marie Baggett and husband Bobby, Angela Lou Martin and husband Gary, Debra Laverne Phillips and husband Joey, Carolyn Marie Dowdy and husband Ed; two half-sisters, Nancy Adams and husband Jim and Patricia Benard, all of Whiteville. Other survivors include six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Peewee Phillips, Troy Phillips, Danny Austin, Ken Benard, Chris Watson, and Doug Faulkner. Honorary Pallbearers are Bubba Goodman, Jimmy Joe Goodman, Randy Goodman, David Goodman, Charles Goodman and Dooley Kelley.
Funeral services for Mr. Pittman were conducted Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. David Reeves, officiating. Burial followed at the Mount Tabor Cemetery in Whiteville. The Pittman Family received friends on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
