Billy Joe's Obituary Billy Joe Edwards, age 81, of Bells, Tennessee, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee. He was a member of the Bells Church of Christ, where he served as an elder for many years, a former employee of Pictsweet for over 20 years, retired from the Milan Arsenal, a farmer and avid hunter, gardener, and Atlanta Braves fan. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes in Bells, TN, and from 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Bells Church of Christ. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Bells Church of Christ officiated by Bro. Lee Johnson. Interment will follow in Oakview Cemetery in Alamo, Tennessee. Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife of 671/2 years, Faye Edwards of Bells, TN; three daughters, Deb Talley of Jackson, TN, Pamelia Carroll (Wayne) of Bells, TN, and Shelia Buckley (Bruce) of Henderson, TN; two sons, Rickey Edwards of Crump, TN, and Gary Edwards of Jackson, TN; two sisters, Harriet Nanney of Bells, TN, and Janice Gaines of Bells, TN; one brother, Paul Edwards of Bells, TN; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Cayce and Mary Pigue Edwards; two brothers, James and John Edwards; and one sister, Marjorie Williams. Pallbearers will be grandsons, who are as follows: Gary Lee Edwards, Joey Edwards, Kevin Edwards, Justin Edwards, Jay Stewart, Jonathan Stewart, Brandon Carroll, Nathan Carroll, Loren Carroll, Shane Buckley, and Paden Buckley. Honorary Pallbearers will be granddaughters as follows: Alesha Edwards and Erin Carroll. The family has requested that memorial be sent to the Bells Church of Christ, P.O. Box 117, Bells, TN 38006, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in lieu of flowers.
