Bettye's Obituary Mrs. Bettye Rose Cole Overton, age 78, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 at her residence in Brownsville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Edna Irene Lewis Cole; her husband: Billy Marcum Overton; two brothers: Robert "Shorty" Cole, Jr. and Gerald Wayne Cole; and two brothers-in-law: William Dillon and Edward Vanstory. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM, Saturday, August 29, 2009 in the Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. H.K. Sorrell and Rev. Bob Connerley officiating. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Overton is survived by one daughter: Sharon Kay Overton, Memphis, TN; three brothers: Fred "Dee" Cole (Lois), Jackson, TN, Donald L. Cole (Carol) Paragould, AR, and Edward Dale Cole (Sue), Moscow, TN; three sisters: Janie Cole Dillon and Shirley Cole Powell (Joe) both of Bells, TN, and Bootsie Vanstory, Brownsville, TN; two sisters-in-law: Laura Cole, FL, and Mary Cole, Gadsden, TN; eleven nieces; and twenty nephews.
