Betty's Obituary Ms. Betty Lee Watson age 84 of Brownsville, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at her sister’s residence. She was born on March 17, 1934 in Haywood County to the late Rena Coates Powell and Richard Earl Watson. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Peggy Waddell and Mrs. Jacqueline Smith; several nieces and nephews, Jim Waddell, Jake Waddell (Jennifer), Jayme Spencer (Justin), Curt Waddell, R.C. Waddell (Susan), Layne McLaughlin (Patrick), Kathy Hayes (Steven), Brandy Hayes, Stevie Leigh Hayes, Amy Tipton, Sarah Bright Faulkner (Chris),Tom Tipton (Christy), Dan Waddell (Stephanie) Braxton Waddell, Marley Waddell, Dr. Greg Smith (Liz), Ashley Smith, Andrea Smith, Lee Ann Garrett, Dr. Hunter Garrett (Currant), Robert F. Smith, Donna Cowan (Roger), Elaine Cowan, Sara Cowan, and James Cowan. Other survivors include several great-great nieces, Harper Waddell, Hallie Waddell, Stella Spencer, Noah Spencer, Ben Spencer, Jack Spencer, Evelyn Waddell, Patrick Thomas McLaughlin, Jack Curtis McLaughlin, Brooks McLaughlin, Nora McLaughlin, Mason Faulkner, Greycen Faulkner, Olivia Kate Tipton and Aubrey Claire Tipton. Serving as pallbearers are Jim Waddell, Jake Waddell, Curt Waddell, R.C. Waddell, Dan Waddell, Braxton Waddell, Greg Smith, Hunter Garrett, Robert Smith, James Cowan, Roger Cowan, Tom Tipton and Steven Hayes. Funeral Services for Ms. Watson will be conducted on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Stahl, officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. The Watson Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm.
