Betty's Obituary Mrs. Betty Walpole Rainey, age 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday January 22, 2014, in Louisville. After the death of her husband, Betty returned to school and became a registered nurse. She worked 25 years in the field of cardiology. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She liked nothing better than spending time with her family, watching a good basketball game and visiting with friends. She will be missed. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Monday, January 27, 2014, at the First Presbyterian Church in Brownsville, Tennessee. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Brownsville, Tennessee, officiated by Dr. David Schieber with interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Brownsville, Tennessee. Survivors include her sons, David Rainey (Cathy) and their children, Phil Rainey (Sarah) their children and grandchildren, her sister, Ann, and brother, Jim. Mrs. Rainey is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Robert L. Rainey and her youngest son Steve. Memorials may be made to the church of donor's choice or the American Cancer Society.
