Becky Jane's Obituary Mrs. Rebecca Jane Waddell Taliaferro age 84 of Brownsville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born January 27, 1933 and has now joined her Heavenly Father after being a faithful member of Union Grove United Methodist Church where she served in numerous capacities for many years. Mrs. Taliaferro was preceded in death by parents, Roger Curtis Waddell and Rebecca Thedora Warren Waddell; husband Louis D. Taliaferro; brothers, James W. Waddell and Curtis Waddell, Jr.; sister, Martha Lou Waddell Stoots. Survivors include two sons, Louis Lynwood (Lyn) Taliaferro of Parsons and William Ernest (Bill) Taliaferro of Blountville; daughter, Carolyn Taliaferro East and husband Clay of Knoxville. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Robert N. Goodson, III, Hunter Clayton East, Bret Lynwood Taliaferro and Rebecca Lucille Taliaferro Gammenthaler as well as three great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers are, Travis Lonon, Bradford Mann, Bob Goodson, Kenneth Cozart, David Overton and Robert Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Union Grove Choir. A celebration of life for Mrs. Taliaferro will be conducted Friday, June 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Porterfield officiating. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from Noon until the service hour.
