Beatrice's Obituary
Carrie Beatrice Emison Williams, 87, passed away on Sunday August 11, 2013, at the Bells Nursing Home. She was born June 26, 1936, in Crockett County to G.A. Emison and Lailah Belle Skipper Emison. She married Hiawatha Williams July 31, 1943, and was a loving housewife and mother. She was a member of Cypress United Methodist Church for 60 years and worked 14 years for Alamo Fashion Shoppe. She moved to Tupelo, MS in 1997 to be near her daughter and became a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Tupelo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brother, Herschell Emison. She is survived by her son, Randy Allen Williams (Betty) of Bells; her daughter, Edwina Wood (Charles) of Tupelo, grandchildren Susan Geiger (Tony) of Jackson, MS and Chuck Wood (Millie) of Mantachie, MS; and three great-grandchildren, Carter and Will Wood and Emison Geiger. She is also survived by a niece, Charlotte Emison Naylor of Bells. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, August 12th at Bells Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13 at Bells Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Riley officiating. Burial will be at Marlowe Cemetery in Liberty Hall Community. Pallbearers will be Chuck Wood, Carter Wood, Tony Geiger, Curtis Sullivan, Steve Bailey and Gary Spraggins. Honorary pallbearers will be Will Wood and Joe Wayne Spraggins.
