Anne Sanford Baird, age 89 passed away in the Crestview Healthcare Center on Sunday, October 23, 2011. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 25, 2011 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Marvin's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 24, 2011 from 5-8 PM in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. Mrs. Baird was preceded in death by her husband: Freeman Hunter Baird, Sr., two brothers: Jimmy Tipton Sanford and John King Sanford and two sisters: Rozelle Sanford Harrison and Bess Sanford Cresap. She is survived by two sons: Jimmy Baird (Cornelia), Brownsville, TN and Hunter Baird, Jr. (Sharon), Bolivar, TN; one brother: Samuel Spencer Sanford, Moorehead City, NC; two sisters: Jane Sanford Ireland, Memphis, TN and Bobbie Sanford Newsom, Wedgefield, SC; two grandchildren: Amanda Baker (Jeff) and Curtis Baird (Amanda) and four great grandchildren: Samuel Edward Baker, William Neely Baker, Jaxon Hunter Baird and Nicholas Allen Baird. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marvin's Chapel Cemetery Fund, c/o Clarence Escue, 4642 Hwy 76 S, Brownsville, TN 38012.
