Rebecca Ann Davis Taylor, age 75 passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 in the Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN, after a long battle with cancer. Celebration of Life Services will be Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the Christ Church of Brownsville. Burial will follow in Floyd's Chapel Cemetery (Oldfield Cemetery) in Friendship, TN. A visitation for the Taylor family will be Monday evening, February 17, 2014, 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday, February 18, 2014, 11:00 A.M. to service time at 12:00 noon, in Christ Church of Brownsville. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her father: J.W. Davis and a brother: Jerry Davis. She is survived by her husband of 61 years: Ray Taylor of Brownsville, TN, her mother: Pauline East Davis, Maury City, TN, her children: Rita Lankford (Chris) Ripley, TN, Jimmy Taylor (Nancy) Jackson, TN, Johnny Taylor (Janet), Patsy Peace (James), Theressa Callery (Ron) all of Brownsville, TN, Misty Simmons, Dyersburg, TN, a brother: David Davis (Annette) Three Way, TN, two sisters: Sherry Wright (Jimmy) Halls, TN, Nancy Ward (Donald) Crockett Mills, TN, thirteen grandchildren: Christopher Tucker, Lauren Tucker Schoate, Zachary Lankford, Jonathan Taylor, Brian Taylor, Jessica Taylor Powers, Ben Davis Taylor, Alex Taylor, Danielle Peace Young, Taylor Peace, Rebecca Taylor, Michael Watson, Shannon Watson, three step grandchildren: Sheremy Smith Paige, Harold Smith, Jamie Smith, thirteen great-grandchildren and ten step great-grandchildren.
