Anida Dale Lane

Anida Dale Lane, age 73, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the Tennessee State Veterans Home of Humboldt, TN. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home, with Pastor Amanda Crice officiating. Burial to follow at the Ridgecrest Cemetery of Jackson, TN. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Bells Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Mrs. Anida was born in Alamo, TN on May 18, 1951, to the late Clarence Thomas Burns, and the late Bertha Lee Williams Burns. She loved to care for her family and was the caregiver to her beloved son. She loved taking cruises and had taken over 20 over the years. Her greatest hobby was collecting Amazon boxes and now we have been in fear of there stock tanking since her passing. She had made good friends with the Fed Ex drivers and mail carrier. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She was also preceded in death by her son: Jeremy Edward Lane; one sister: Deborah Elaine Maddox; and one brother in law: John Mingledorff.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years of marriage: Dale Edward Lane of Jackson, TN; two daughters: Shelia Gillespie (Scott) of Trenton, TN, Jamie Babb (Drew) of Martin, TN; one brother: Alfred Burns of Jackson, TN; and one sister: Phyllis Mingledorff of Jackson, TN. She leaves a legacy of five grandchildren: Kelley Gillespie, Brook Gillespie, Kayla Winston, McKenzie Babb, Madelyn Babb; and three great-grandchildren: Kylie Sands, Landon Sands and Lakelyn Goad.

Serving as pallbearers are Scott Gillespie, Drew Babb, Jason Nanney, Russell Burns, Don Harston, Barry Harston, Michael Lane and Jerry Nelson. Honorary Pallbearer will be Alfred Burns.
