Allen Wayne Byrum

Allen's Obituary Allen Wayne Byrum, 61, died on September 29, 2018, in Nashville, TN. Allen was independent and entrepreneurial. He graduated from Haywood High School, and worked for years in Bells and Brownsville, TN. He was married for 39 years to Joan Love Nuckolls, and faithfully cared for her in her last years. After her death, he lived in Lexington, TN, and traveled frequently to Nashville and Starkville to see his children and grandchildren and offer advice to his son and son-in-law. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; his parents, James F. Sr. and Mary Virginia Warf Byrum; and his brother, James F. Byrum Jr. He is survived by two brothers, Neil Byrum and Sam Byrum of Brownsville; his children, Allison Proffitt (Kyle) of Nashville, TN; Jonathan Byrum (Kathryn) of Starkville, MS; and five grandchildren: Josephine Love and Jude Byrum Proffitt; and Mary Kathryn, Anne Camp, and Elizabeth Love Byrum.
