Alice's Obituary
Mrs. Alice Mae Howell Jaynes age 92, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015, in the Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bells TN. She was born on October 27,1922 in Fayette County, TN, to the late William Banion and Margaret Alice Tinker Howell. She and her husband owned and operated Jaynes Grocery in Adair, TN. She loved her Lord and Saviour and enjoyed quilting for Midway Baptist Church where she was a member since 1965. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Farrow Jaynes; one son, Billy Glenn Jaynes; four brothers, two sisters, a son-in-law, Jerald Mack Campbell, Sr., two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Survivors are daughters Charlotte Campbell, Madison Co., TN, Glenda Cox (Doug), Crockett Co.,TN and daughter-in-law Alice (Steward) Jaynes, Fayette Co,TN. She leaves a legacy of nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Jaynes will be conducted on Monday, October 26, 2015, at 1 pm in the Chapel of Bells Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Meridith officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Bells, TN. The Jaynes family will receive friends at Bells Funeral Home from 11 am until the service hour at 1 pm. Serving as pallbearers are Lance Jaynes, Jeremy Jaynes, Brandon Andrews, Ryan Andrews, Chris Ellington and Grant Hendrix.
